The Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan is a Salafi Jihadist right-wing political party based in Uzbekistan.

Ideology[]

The party uses the Black Standard, common to Jihadist movements since the late 1990s, similar to the ones used by Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. The party seeks to create an Islamic State in Uzbekistan, and to spread the Truth of Allah around the globe, destroying all those who resist the call to Islam. The party is anti-communist, anti-American and anti-fascist. The IMU is very socially conservative, but much more economically flexible.
