The Democratic Party of Korea (commonly referred to as DPoK) is the largest political party in North Korea. It was created by Frederick D. Smith and strives to bring democracy to North Korea.
The party was founded in response to the Workers' Party of Korea's failure during the Second Korean War. Following the party's victory in the 1992 election, the party assumed chairmanship of North Korea.
